Who you are dealing with
YouFirst SEO is an owner-run search marketing business in Caldwell, Texas, serving Brazos, Burleson, Bell and Madison counties. It is run by Chris Cagle, who is also the person who reads anything you send through this site.

What you send me on purpose
Three forms on this site collect information, and each one does something different with it.
The contact form
Your name, email address, business name, phone number, the service you are asking about, and your message. It is emailed straight to my inbox through Resend, an email delivery service. It is not added to a marketing list and you will not be enrolled in a newsletter for filling it in.
The free audit form
Your email address and your website address, plus the other details the form asks for. That information goes to an automated workflow that runs the audit and emails you the report. Producing the report means sending your website address to services that measure it, including Google PageSpeed Insights and the Google Places API, and asking AI assistants what they know about your business, which means sending your business name and website to those AI services. The form is also checked by Cloudflare Turnstile to keep bots out.
The marketing quiz
The answers you choose and the email address you give, so the results can be sent to you. Same handling as the audit: it reaches me, and it is not sold or traded.
What gets collected automatically
This site uses Google Analytics through Google Tag Manager, and the Meta pixel. Both set identifiers in your browser and record pages you view, roughly where you are by city, what kind of device you used, and which site sent you here. The Meta pixel exists so that advertising on Facebook and Instagram can be measured and so that ads can be shown to people who visited this site.
The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which keeps standard server logs including IP addresses, for security and abuse prevention.
If you would rather not be measured, browser tracking protection or an ad blocker will stop most of it. You can also opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on, and change what Meta uses in your Facebook ad preferences. Nothing on this site requires you to accept tracking to read it.
Your Google account data, if you are a client
Clients grant access to their own Google accounts so the work can be done. That usually means Google Business Profile, Google Search Console, Google Analytics and Google Ads. Access is granted by you, it is read and written only to deliver the services you are paying for, and it can be revoked by you at any time from your Google account's security settings or by removing my access in the product itself.
What that access is used for: reading how your pages perform in search, reading and updating your Business Profile, researching keywords, reporting results back to you, and making the changes you have asked for. What it is not used for: advertising to you, advertising to anyone else, credit or lending decisions, selling to data brokers, or training generalized artificial intelligence models.
Data pulled from those accounts is stored in systems I operate, hosted in the United States, and is kept separated by client so one client's data is never visible to another. Human access is limited to me, other than staff of the infrastructure providers listed below acting under their own contracts.
Use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Who else handles it
These are the companies that process information on my behalf. Each one is used for the single job named.
- Cloudflare: hosting, security, bot checks, and the form endpoints.
- Resend: delivering contact form messages to my inbox.
- Google: analytics, tag management, and the APIs used for audits, reporting, and client work.
- Meta: the advertising pixel described above.
- Neon: the database behind the client workspace and reporting, hosted in the United States.
- Anthropic, OpenAI and Google: AI services used to analyze sites and draft reports, including the AI visibility section of the audit.
- n8n: the automation that runs the audit, self-hosted on infrastructure I control.
Your information is not sold, rented or traded. It can be disclosed if the law requires it, for example a valid subpoena, or to protect against fraud and abuse.
How long it is kept
- Form submissions and the emails they generate: kept while there is a reason to have them, then deleted on request.
- Audit reports and the data behind them: kept so results can be compared over time. Ask and they go.
- Client performance data: kept for the length of the engagement and a reasonable period after, so year over year comparisons still work.
- Analytics and advertising records: kept according to Google's and Meta's own retention settings.
What you can ask for
Ask for a copy of what I hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. Email chris.cagle@youfirstseo.com and say which. There is no form to fill in and no charge. Deletion means deletion, other than anything I am required to keep for tax or legal reasons, which is generally invoices rather than anything personal.
Texas residents, and anyone else in the United States with rights under a state privacy law, can use the same email address to exercise them. Access will not be refused and prices will not change because you asked.
Children
This is a business service and it is not directed at children. Do not submit information about anyone under 13.
Security
Connections to this site are encrypted. Credentials for client accounts are never stored in a database, and access is held as a revocable authorization rather than a copy of your password. No system is perfect, so if something goes wrong that affects you, you will be told.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Material changes affecting existing clients will be sent by email rather than quietly published.
